Top Five Books I'm Not Sure I Want To Read

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

This week is about Books I'm Not Sure I Want To Read. I'm starting a little late but let's see if I can get a few. In no particular order, here are the books:

I read Defiance and while I liked it there was just something about it that made it hard to get though. I think there's potential but I'm not sure if I should continue.

I own this whole series but only read the first book so far and that was for a class. Haven't heard great things about this series so I'm leaning more towards not reading this.
While I didn't much care for this first book I loved how it ended and I thought there was a lot of potential for this book.... but now I've forgotten a lot of the first book and don't know if I should try to pick it up again.

I should have loved the first book, I really wanted to but there was something about it I couldn't get fully behind. I've checked this book out from the library before but didn't read it and I'm wondering if I should give up completely or give it another shot.
I'm not a big fan of books with witches (besides Harry Potter) but I liked the movie and thought maybe I'd give it a shot but it's a big book and I'm a slow reader and I'm wondering if I should spend my time on it when Christina didn't care for it.

So what do you think, to read or not to read? Did any of my books make your list?

  1. I felt the same about Defiance and I don't think I'll read the 2nd, but I'm still undecided since the reviews has me curious. I still have to read Beautiful Creatures >.<

    1. Yeah, I haven't read the reviews but the summary has me curious.
Beautiful Creatures has been sitting on my shelf for about a year or more and I liked the movie so I want to read it... but so did my sister and she didn't care for the book. So I'm not sure what I'll do.
      Thanks for stopping by!

  2. I'm with you on so many of these! I haven't started any of these series, but they always seem to get ambivalent reviews. Great list!

    1. Thanks! Yeah, iffy review make it hard to build up hype. I own two of them so hopefully I'll get around to them.... eventually.lol

  3. I'm feeling the same for the Eragon series, although I don't even think I finished book #1. I meant to! I did. I would probably go back and finish it now, I just need a spare moment. ;) I haven't read anything by CJ Redwine and haven't actually thought to yet. xD
Thanks for stopping by @ Notebook Sisters!

    1. Haha, yeah I started it once and didn't get very far but then I had to write a paper on it in my YA lit. class so I finally finished it. It's not bad but not stupendous either. Yes, spare moments are critical with book although it seems like sometimes I need a spare moment AWAY from my books to do other things.lol

  4. Thanks for stopping by my blog! I couldn't get into either Eragon or Beautiful Creatures. I've heard that the Defiance series is pretty good, but I think that you can usually get a good grasp of a series after reading the first book. I need to be better at deciding which series to quit after one book because I always want to give a series and second (and sometimes third!) chance ... and then end up not liking it by the end and annoyed that I wasted so much precious reading time =P
