Question of the Week: What book/series do you think would make a better TV show than a movie?

Sarah's Pick

I think the Gallagher Girls series would make a great tv show! We would get to see more spy classes, more of Cammie and the gang getting into mischief, and more of Zack and Mr. Solomon! Although, I wouldn't mind if they came out with a movie as well. ;)

 Christina's Pick

I always thought that Vampire Academy and Bloodlines would make a much better tv show than it would a movie. They could spend a season on one or two books alone. There are so many different things they could do to expand the series and make it longer for television.

  2. Oh my gosh these ideas are awesome! I've never thought of either of these books becoming TV shows and now that I think about it - and read your ideas - it sounds like a wonderful plan. Somebody should really do this! I haven't watched the VA movie yet because everyone says it sucks (pun not intended). I should really watch it one day...I just don't want to be disappointed >.<

    1. To tell you the truth, we actually liked the movie. I don't think it's as bad as people are making it out to be, my only issue was the info dumping (which they needed) and how they made some of the Stragoi. Other than that it's pretty good!

  3. These should totally be CW shows, ahaha. I agree, they'd both be fun T.V. shows!

    1. I was imagining what VA would look as a show and I kept picture the CW logo.lol
I think they're becoming known for the teen shows and YA books shows, even if not all of them live long.

  5. Never read any of the Gallagher Girl books, but I love Vampire Academy. I did feel the book wasn't good enough for the books and it would have made a much better TV show. New GFC follower.

  9. I think they both would work really well as TV shows just because there are so many interesting subplots and side stories that really make the book better. I was really disappointed with the rushed VA movie, so I definately think a TV show would be better :)

    1. I completely agree with you. I liked the VA movie, but I think TV is a much more appropriate format for it.

  13. I've just watched the Vampire Academy film and think it came across as a comedy, which is a shame.
I've never read the Gallagher Girls but it seems a popular choice :-)

  17. I've not read the first one but I've heard about it before a few times. I did love the VA series and agree completely it would make a perfect TV series. Maybe we will see the CW pick it up to join the Vampire Diaries line up one day. Thanks so much for joining and sharing. Have a fantastic week. New follower My FF
