This is a tough question because Lupin is such a great character and I love reading any scenes that have him in it. That being said, I couldn't pick any other scene than when the DADA class covered boggarts. I love how nice and encouraging he was to Neville when Snape publicly humiliated him in front of the class. And then there's the perfect moment when the boggarts turns into Snape and then with a "Riddikulus!" he's wearing Neville's grandmother's clothes. Even though Lupin doesn't hold a grudge against Snape, I'm sure Moony couldn't help but laugh.
Also, it's not really a "moment", but I love how whenever a dementor is around he always gives chocolate to everyone around. Now that's an awesome professor.

This is a popular Lupin moment this week. I chose it and I love it! Lupin shows kindness and confidence when Snape was so willing to tear him down. I just love how Lupin sees the good in everyone and acts so rationally, even when he was younger. I mean obviously Lupin had fun, he wouldn't have been friends with James and Sirius if he didn't. But Lupin is just so kind.
ReplyDeleteBoth of those moments are pure gold and the perfect example of Lupin's character ♥ He's just all kinds of awesome, I really have too much love for the guy LOL! That Boggart class was one of THE best classes the students had throughout the series! I love it :D
ReplyDeleteThis is the same moment I went with too this week - I feel like Neville gets ignored a lot, but this shows that with a bit of patience, he's perfectly capable. I love that Lupin sticks up for him. And I totally agree a professor who gave out chocolate would be awesome!
ReplyDeleteI loved that moment so much in the books! It was one of those that I was excited to see come alive in the film. I rewound and watched a few times when the DVD first came out.
ReplyDeleteI could not wait to see this scene in the movie adaptation of PoA, and I was not disappointed! I love that Neville was successful with the spell (with hilarious results!)- best DADA lesson ever! And Lupin- such an outstanding character and a phenomenal, dedicated teacher!
ReplyDeleteI never realized Defense Against the Dark Arts spelled out DADA XD And yes, Lupin is the best professor ever. I don't have a specific favorite moment but I love all those scenes, especially how he always gives Harry (and everyone else) chocolate. Who doesn't love a chocolate-giver?
