Top Ten Books I Want to Reread

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

Top Ten Book I Want To Reread
Sarah's Pick

I have actually read or reread (or both) about half of these books this year and yet I want to read them again already. I have never been a big rereader but this year I have done a lot of it (mostly the Gallagher Girls series) and want to do more. So here are some that I want to reread again sometime soon:

1) Dust Lands Trilogy by Moira Young
Such a great cast of characters, awesome action and a unique style of writing. Now that the whole series is complete I want to read through them again.

2) Across a Star-Swept Sea by Diana Peterfreund
I love Peterfreund’s writing, it is so beautiful and I love the main character Persis! She’s so awesome!

3) The Winner’s Curse by Marie Rutkoski
A very surprising read for me and, since I hear the sequel is a killer (totally in a good way), I want to reread this before I get to the next one.

4) One for the Money by Janet Evanovich
I love watching Stephanie try to catch Morelli.

5) The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan
Love this book! Love beginnings and Percy and Annabeth is awesome!

6) Heist Society by Ally Carter
I didn’t care for it as much the first time I read it so I’m hoping 2nd times the charm because I totally love Ally Carter! (and I just bought it at a booksale.lol)

7) Persuasion by Jane Austen
It’s about time for another read. I need me some Captain Wentworth!

8) The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer
I read them all this year already but I want to read them again in preparation for Winter.

9) Still Star-Crossed by Melinda Taub
Actually I just read this but I really want to read it again.lol The language is sooo beautiful and I love the two main characters!

10) Bloodlines by Richelle Mead
I was hesitant to start this series but when Christina brought me home a pretty paperback from the book sale last spring it pushed me into reading it and I got hooked in the first chapter! Now I'm starting to feel like a reread.

So what books are on your reread list? Do we have any in common? Let me know in the comments!

(I totally would have added the Gallagher Girls series to this list but I think Christina would try and hide them from me if I admitted that. Yes, I have reread them that much since Oct. '13)

  1. The Lunar Chronicles were even better the second time I read them! I'll probably read them all again in 2015 before Winter comes out. I'm super excited for Fairest coming out in January!

    1. I agree! I enjoyed Scarlet a lot better the second time through. I'm really excited for Fairest too! It give's us something to hold us over until Winter. :)

  2. I read Heist Society, Uncommon Criminals, and Perfect Scoundrels by Ally Carter all for the first time this year. I'd say that the series is definitely one worth sticking with! Though apparently the fourth book isn't coming out for a while :(

    1. Yeah, that's totally sad. At first I thought it was just going to be a trilogy but then I heard there would be another book but no release date. :( But at least we're getting another series from Ally Carter which I'm SUPER excited about!

  3. Persuasion and The Winner's Curse are both good ones. They almost made it to my list.

  4. Re-reading Jane Austen is always a good idea! I didn't include them in my post, as it was getting too long, but I think I'm about due for an Austen re-read too! Captain Wentworth's letter; excuse me as I swoon. ;)

    1. Yeah, most of the time I'll leave classic's off of my list because they are in a totally different category than the rest of my books most of the time. Wentworth's letter is very swoon worthy :) He's my favorite Austen guy!

  5. I'd love to reread the Lunar Chronicles! I haven't read Cress just yet - I'm trying to hold off for a little to cut down on the wait time until Winter is released :) I'd love to reread Persuasion at some stage! Actually, all six Austen books deserve a reread :D

    1. That's probably a good idea to wait a bit for Cress. I think of doing that but then I get to impatient and just HAVE to read it.lol Oh course, I end up having to wait anyway because the library sometimes takes FOREVER getting a book.lol
Yes, Austen definitely deserves a reread! Except for maybe Mansfield Park.lol

  6. Dust Lands, why does that one sound so familiar to me. I don't recall reading it. But maybe I did. Either way I think I should add that one to my pile. I preferred Gallagher series to the Heist one, even though I'd much rather read about thieves than spies. Hopefully you'll enjoy your second read through.

  7. Oh gosh! You and me both for Heist Society! I want to reread it. I seriously LOVE heist movies...and I think, when I read it the first time, I felt it didn't live up to watching stuff like The Italian Job and Oceans Eleven. (I'm a huge fan of the Leverage tv series too) so yes! I need a reread. xD
Thanks for stopping by @ Notebook Sisters!
